Statement on Safety

CurveMotion is dedicated to the enjoyment of activities by all persons, but understands that some guests have additional requirements.  However, certain activities can be unsuitable during specific sessions for persons with some additional requirements.  During these sessions we reserve the right to refuse access to activities should we feel there is a risk to any person for whatever reason.

Refusal to access activities on the grounds of health and safety does not constitute discrimination.

Regular AccessAble sessions are held which are dedicated sessions catering specifically for anyone with any disability.  Please click here for more information.

We also understand that some guests will not be able to access CurveMotion without the assistance of an Essential Companion.  We are pleased to be able to offer an Essential Companion ticket for those guests who require additional assistance whilst in the venue via the Access Card Scheme.

Access Card Scheme and CurveMotion

We are pleased to be working with Nimbus Disability, using their Access Card Scheme to provide our customers with accessed requirements a more consistent and better experience

From Friday 6 September 2024 we will use the scheme for all customers that require the  support of an Essential Companion to have their access requirements validated so we can not only provide those reasonable adjustments, but protect them from potential misuse.

There are two types of Access Cards available:

  • CurveMotion Digital Access Pass ID
  • Access Card

The CurveMotion Digital Access Pass ID is free of charge, but will only be accepted at CurveMotion.  The full Access Card has a charge of £15 but can be used at over 3000 events and venues across the UK and beyond including theme parks (Such as Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Paultons Park), live Music Events & Venues, Festivals, Museums, Zoo's and much much more…

For help and support applying for your Access Card, please visit the Access Card Support Page by clicking here.

When you arrive for your session and require essential companion tickets, you will need to present your Access Card or Curve Motion Digital Access Pass ID with the +1 symbol shown.  This will also entitle you to the appropriate discount(s) available at the time of entry.

Our partners at Nimbus, will undertake a free application for you to use your ID in purchasing tickets, but you will need to provide relevant evidence in order for them to allocate the +1 symbol. It is really important that you understand that an essential companion is not a buy one get one free scheme but a reasonable adjustment, in line with the Equality Act, to enable you to attend an event you otherwise would not be able to.

You can apply for either the the Curve Motion Digital Access Pass for free below or the full Access Card. The CurveMotion Digital Access Pass lasts for 3 years, so once you have applied and it's been approved, that's 3 years of accessible fun!

Please note that applications can take several days to be processed.

When you have received your card/pass please click here to complete the CurveMotion registration.  This will allow us to ensure we have all details ready for your future visits.

FAQs

What is the difference between an Access Card and a Curve Motion Digital Access Pass?

An Access Card is a universal way of conveying your access requirement with organisations and ticketing systems in the UK and beyond. You can purchase an Access Card for £15 for 3 years. A Curve Motion Digital Access Pass is a free way of conveying your access requirements, locked to Curve Motion. You still go through the same process, but receive a digital number and no card. It lasts for 3 years and you can always upgrade to a full Access Card at any point.

How can I apply for a Curve Motion Digital Access Pass?

To apply for your Curve Motion Digital Access Pass, please click here. And go through the simple registration form and upload any validating evidence about your access requirements. Remember, you will only have to do this once and it will last for 3 years!

Once I have a Curve Motion Digital Access Pass or Access Card, how do I use my card to get essential companion tickets?

Once you have your Curve Motion Digital Access Pass Number (found on your confirmation email) or to use your Access Card, please email bookings@curvemotion.com.  CurveMotion will need to ensure that all relevant information is set up on the admission system.  This information will then be used when entering the venue and validated against the Access Card shown.  The person entering must match the photo and description on the Access Card.

Please note that performing this process in advance of your first time using the card to enter will speed up entry time significantly, and we recommend that this is done by our Administration Team in advance.

Why is the process changing and how does this benefit me?

This will enable us to fully understand the access requirements of our customer and provide those reasonable adjustments, such as essential companion tickets. We recognise that our staff are not experts in the Equality Act and have to review evidence to issue our carer tickets and it's great to have Nimbus onboard to help us with this part of the process.

Our commitment to accessibility remains unchanged. Our team is still here to support you if you have any questions or need assistance. For further support, please email enquiries@curvemotion.com
